Semper Forward is a Fastport program that helps the military community find meaningful careers. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect through semperforward.com, our forms, and our text messages, how we use it, and the choices you have. "We," "us," and "our" mean Semper Forward.

What we collect

When you fill out one of our forms, contact us, or work with a coach, you may give us:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Information you share about your career transition, such as your military background, location, career interests, and the kinds of jobs you are looking for
• Anything else you choose to include in a message to us

We also collect some information automatically when you visit the site, such as the pages you view, the type of device and browser you use, and how you got to the site. See Cookies and analytics below.

Why we collect it

• To provide career services. We use your information to support your transition, including coaching, sharing job opportunities, and connecting you with employers and resources that fit your goals.
• To stay in touch. We use your contact details to reply to you, send updates about your Semper Forward career services, and, if you agree, send you text messages.
• To improve the site. We use analytics to understand how people use semperforward.com so we can make it more useful.

We don't sell your personal information

We do not sell personal information. We share it only to provide the services you ask for: with Fastport, which runs the Semper Forward program; with employers or partner organizations when you ask us to connect you with them; with the service providers described below that help us run our forms and website; or when required by law.

Text messages

If you agree to receive text messages from us, we use your phone number to send updates about your Semper Forward career services, such as appointment reminders, job opportunities your coach shares with you, and replies from your coach. You can reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

Cookies and analytics

Like most websites, semperforward.com uses cookies and similar tools to understand how the site is used. These tools collect information such as pages viewed, clicks, device and browser type, and approximate location.

• Google Analytics measures visits and page views across the site.
• Microsoft Clarity, loaded through Google Tag Manager on our Relocation Assistance page, shows us how visitors interact with that page, such as clicks and scrolling.
• Usersnap powers the feedback tool on the site. If you send feedback through it, it receives what you submit.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

Forms and service providers

Some of our forms are hosted or processed by outside services that collect and store the information you enter on our behalf:

• STEAMe hosts our candidate intake forms.
• HubSpot processes our employer sign-up form and some email sign-ups on this site.
• Jotform hosts some of our sign-up forms.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy that applies to how it handles data. Our website is hosted on Microsoft Azure.

Your choices

• Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts from us.
• Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop receiving those emails.
• Email us at mission@semperforward.com to ask what information we have about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us. No website or online service is completely secure, so please contact us if you have any concerns.

Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
