DoW SkillBridge
Get civilian work experience before you separate.
SkillBridge lets eligible service members spend up to their final 180 days training full-time with a civilian employer — while still drawing military pay and benefits. Semper Forward manages the program and connects you to host employers matched to your goals and your separation timeline.

Before you start your intake
Does Semper Forward cost anything? +
No. Our services are free to transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses. We're not a staffing agency taking a cut of your future — our employer partners fund the network.
When should I start? +
As early as you can. Many members engage during their SkillBridge or TAP window, but wherever you are in the process, we can meet you there.
Are military spouses eligible? +
Yes. Through our Military Spouse Network and spouse-focused support, military spouses have full access to coaching, personalized resume support, and employer introductions.
What if I'm stationed overseas? +
We maintain relationships with TAP offices both CONUS and OCONUS, with an active footprint in Germany, the UK, Italy, and Japan.
