General Supervisor Casting and Molds

BASIC FUNCTION
Under the supervision of Plant Manager III, he is responsible for managing the manual emptying and molds department, in order to achieve efficiency in productivity, quality, goal fulfillment and personnel safety.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Control manual emptying defects and production quality inspection
2. Control defects in the mold area.
3. Achieve productivity objectives in the Moulds and Manual Casting department.
4. Maintain assigned production areas safely to ensure minimization of employee accidents and in compliance with legal requirements.
5. Schedule mold making to ensure adequate supply of molds to meet production schedules.
6. Provide training to the area supervisor to develop their supervisory skills.
7. Assist in the development and training of programs for all personnel in the area, to meet the requirements of the Mexican government.
8. Responsible for reviewing personnel in their area and making recommendations on merit enhancement, promotions, and disciplinary measures.
9. Responsible for ensuring that all information related to production control, defects and inventories is maintained.
10. Ensure that all new systems that were implemented in their areas are under quality control.
11. Establish good communication systems to ensure that all personnel under their responsibility are informed.
12. Fulfill the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position.
SPECIFIC AUTHORITIES
• Promote continuous improvements in safety, quality and cost in the Plant's operations.
• Has the authority to participate in the hiring and rotation of personnel.
• Develop work plans and adjust processes according to operational needs.
• Manages human, material and technical resources.
• Make corrective decisions in the event of failures or deviations in the process.
• It analyzes metrics such as efficiency, cycle times, defect rate, etc.
• Apply methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Kaizen.
• He collaborates with areas such as engineering, quality, purchasing and logistics.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Supervisory relationships:
1. Report to the Plant Manager 1
2. Directly supervises supervisors, modelers, and engineers in the department.
3. Indirectly supervises the department's workers.
Relations with the organization:
1. Frequent contact with the Materials staff, Supervisor of pastes and enamels, Supervisor of ovens and enamelling, collection, reprocessing and Supervisor of finished product and Shipments.
2. Moderate contact with the Plant's Engineering and Maintenance staff.
External business relations:
1. Has infrequent contact with suppliers to specify equipment needs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Preference: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum preference of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing operation - Supervision / Team Management.
FORMATION:
Bilingual.
Work preference Knowledge of software applications based on Microsoft Windows.
