General Supervisor Fit, Test & Pack - Rework

BASIC FUNCTION
This position reports directly to the Plant Manager PIII, it is responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities related to the tests applied to the finished product in the Fit, Test & Pack department and refire process. Moreover, it is responsible for ensuring the Quality Control Department is informed about irregulations or flaws found in the product and in coordination with the Quality personnel establish workable solutions to solve the problem. Must also ensure shipments of the product just In time and fulfill all established regulations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manages the department with respect of expenses, overtime and productivity.
2. Supervises the classification of the finished product by: A1’S, Rework and Cull.
3. Fulfills the finished product tests.
4. Supervises the carry out of the assembly of the product.
5. Supervises packaging and shipment of finished product.
6. Defines working procedures for the department.
7. Coordinates with materials department equipment and staffing schedules to meet quality and deadlines.
8. Follow-up weekly program production schedules.
9. Collaborates with the quality control department to resolve quality production problems
10. Reports output levels daily for the department.
11. Ensures shipped products fulfill the specified quality standards and shipments regulations.
12. Guarantees the total quality of the product shipped regarding: performance, packing, amount and assembly.
13. Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position.

14. Authority for management in all aspects of the Finished Product area
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
Supervisory Relationships:
1. Reports to the Plant Manager PII.
2. Supervises Foremen Fit, Test & Pack.
3. Indirectly supervises factory workers.
Organization Relationships:
1. Frequent contact with the Quality Control Department.
2. Moderate contact with the traffic coordinator.
3. Frequent contact with other General Supervisor
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Preference Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum preference of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing operation: Line Balancing, Continuous Improvement. Supervision / Team management.
FORMATION:
Preference to have some basic knowledge in logistics.
