BASIC
FUNCTIONS:
Lead and manage all aspects of inbound and outbound multimodal
transportation from Asia, United States to Mexico and the rest of Latin America excluding Brazil. Support
and lead all cost optimization efforts, route efficiencies, cost monitoring and expediting
process to support on time delivery for our more than 30 customers in 27 countries.
Supports
our sales and marketing teams as a liaison to anticipate and support expedite
needs recovery, works closely with Sourcing and Transportation Teams to improve cost
while providing a stellar customer experience.
Works
closely with Customer Service Teams, Manufacturing Sites to support recovery
and
supports Customer Interaction as well.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works closely with our
Customers in Mexico and Rest of Latin America, and with our Sales,
Marketing, Trade Compliance, Warehousing, SOP, Customer Service Team to
assure all open orders, claims, returns, free of charge samples are
delivered on time. Supports recovery efforts on past due, aged
orders, etc.
- Supervise the tracking and
expediting of all international and domestic shipments via all modes of
transportation
- Works closely with Kohler
plants in Mexico, US, China mainly to assure we have tailor
made solutions to continuously improve lead times, cut cost, and make
our supply chain inbound and outbound and domestic distribution is
effective and aligned with Supply Chain, Warehousing and Customer Delivery
Costs.
- Administers the international
and domestic transportation programs to properly support the sales,
marketing, and supply chain groups of the Company.
- Works with KBA International
and US Domestic Transportation and Sourcing teams to analyze, design,
optimize and create the most effective inbound and outbound routes for
multimodal transportation to all our customers in more than 27 countries.
- Partners with Import Export and
Warehousing teams to achieve a LOTIF of more than 90% for our region
- Works closely with Trade
Compliance and Import-Export Teams on tariff mitigation, route optimizations to cut and avoid duties, tariffs, penalties Internal
Communication: For internal & partner use only.
- Works closely with our
logistics operators, such as Customs Brokers, inland and ocean freight
suppliers, forwarders, etc.
- Responsible for tracking and
driving supply chain costs improvements. Supports Supply Chain Leadership
on execution of transportation sourcing, route optimization, tariff
mitigations efforts
Organizational Relationships:
- Daily contact with the director
and Supply Chain Manager for Latin America, and his staff.Also, with KBA Supply Chain organization, and Asia Supply Chain Teams
- Daily frequent contact with
marketing, product marketing, sales and Customer Service organizations, including regular interaction with leadership teams across
the Americas
- Daily frequent contact with
different subsidiary compliance associates
- Frequent contact with Sourcing
Team in America, Finance Teams, Manufacturing Plants
- Occasional contact with Kohler
Co. Trade Compliance
External Business Relationships:
- Frequent contact with Kohler
Co. and Subsidiary freight forwarders and Customs brokers
- Regular contact with air, rail,
express, and surface carriers Kohler Operations, Asia and US
and Mexico Manufacturing Plants
- Customers in Mexico, and across
Latin America, excluding Brazil
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics,
International or Global Business, or Business Administration or related
field.
- Minimum of 5 years of
experience in import and export operations with a multiple product line importer.
- Experience with Customs
processes and systems, international freight routing analysis and
successful management of
- Customs broker relationships are required.
- Experience with U S I n b o n d
import/export regulatory compliance, Customs import entry review, CTPAT, OEA, and other programs.
- Sourcing experience to support
bids, negotiations, Customs binding ruling process,
trade program certification process, and import process auditing.
- US Visa and Passport are a must
- Professional demeanor and
strong planning, organization, negotiation, analytical and computer skills
are required.

Microsoft Office applications, SAP
