Government Affairs Manager
BASIC FUNCTIONS
This positionwillbeaccountablefordevelopingandimplementinggovernmentaffairs strategies that help protect, build and enhance Kohler's reputation and support commercial objectives with influential groups and organizations. In this role he/she will develop and implementcommunicationsstrategiesthatreinforceKohler'sleadershiponpriorityissueswith external target audiences.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Specificresponsibilitiesincludebutarenotlimitedto:
ØDevelopandimplementgovernmentaffairsadvocacyplansforKohler.
ØBeontopoflocaleconomicandsocialissuesandbuildstronggovernmentrelations with local regulators to well position Kohler Co. and support issues management efforts.
ØProtectandenhanceKohler'sreputation,workingcloselywithregional,businessand cross-functional leadership
ØDevelopandimplementacommunityrelationsplanandcrisiscommunicationsystem for all present and future manufacturing facilities in China adding value to production function by reducing government opposition and maintaining a positive atmosphere in which to operate.
ØSupportdepartmentheadswithissueanalysesandcrisismanagement.
ØEstablishandmanageeffectiverelationshipswithgovernmentrelationsandexternal agencies.
ØEnsure that all government affairs activities developed and implemented are fully coordinated and integrated with other communications strategies and activities, and thatthesearecommunicatedacrosstherelevantregionalandcorporatedepartments
Skills/Requirements
ØBachelor’sdegreeincommunicationsorrelateddisciplines
ØMinimum10years’ experienceincommunicationsfield(governmentrelations,advertising, journalism) in China
ØAbilitytothinkandactstrategically,withdetailorientationandcapabilityinmulti-tasking
ØStronginfluencingandnegotiatingskills
ØGoodcommandofEnglish,Mandarin
