About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions. You will also be responsible for preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and providing financial advice to management. Your expertise in accounting principles and practices will be essential in ensuring the financial health of our organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification
- Experience in a supervisory role
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries to ensure proper recording of transactions in the general ledger, including maintaining the supporting documentation for audit.
- Prepare various balance sheet account reconciliations including the monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable, deferred revenue, cash, accounts payable, inventory, intercompany and payroll.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial transactions
- Ensure financial statements are completed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner by adhering to closing deadlines and seeing opportunities to streamline current processes.
- Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes as needed.
- Provide financial advice to management
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and practices
- Perform special projects and any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
