Catering Assistant, Woodlake Market

Opportunity
As a Catering Assistant, you will support the preparation, packaging, and delivery of premium catering orders for private events, corporate functions, and in-store gatherings. You will ensure that every order reflects the store’s commitment to quality, presentation, and exceptional customer service. This role requires attention to detail, time management, and a passion for food and hospitality.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and package catering orders according to customer specifications and store standards
- Ensure all items are fresh, accurately labeled, and beautifully presented
- Communicate professionally with clients regarding pickup times, delivery, details, and special requests
- Assist with last-minute changes or adjustments to orders with a solution-focused approach
- Assist with setup and breakdown of catered events, both in-store and off-site as needed
- Deliver orders on an as needed basis
- Maintain a clean and organized catering prep area
- Monitor inventory of catering supplies and ingredients, and notify management of restocking needs
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure catering equipment is clean, functional, and properly stored
- Follow dress code and grooming standards that reflect the upscale environment
- Will complete all duties and requests as assigned by management
This is a casual part-time position working both weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary between 5:30 am and 9:00 pm.
Skills/Requirements
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 21 years or older and ability to obtain ServSafe certification
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Prior experience in catering, food service, or hospitality preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs, bend, twist, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays

The hourly range for this position is $15.90-$19.75. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
