Scope of the Position:
The Quotation Sales Manager Distribution leads quotation activities to achieve performance targets aligned with sales and marketing strategies and training the team to produce accurate cost estimates. This role involves collaborating with sales professionals to enhance customer engagement and improve quotation accuracy and turnaround times. Building strong relationships with customers and vendors is essential for increasing sales volume, while assessing customer needs helps tailor quotations effectively. Staying informed about competitor strategies and market trends is crucial for developing effective tactics, as the manager executes strategic quotation plans and monitors performance metrics, ultimately driving sales growth and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Establishing an efficient quotation system.
- Establish new relations and strengthen existing relationships with customers and channel to enhance sales volume and customer service.
- Plan, direct and manage quotation team members to ensure adequate coverage to satisfy customer requirements.
- Awareness of competitors' products, strategy, pricing, and their competitive position in the industry.
- Create strategic plans to implement quotation initiatives and major project assistance.
- Analyze, support, and continuously improve the systems
- Understand and effectively communicate customer needs internally.
- Identify opportunities and projects, and coordinate the resources necessary to deliver best solutions.
- Perform all job functions with in adherence with Robertson’s policies and values.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Electrical Distribution knowledge is required
- Sales Experience: 5-7 years in electrical quotation sales; essential background in Sales and Distribution.
- Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
- Quotations: Proficiency in design and build estimates is an asset
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret complex low and medium voltage plans
- Problem-Solving: Effective at navigating ambiguity and overcoming challenges.
- Sales Knowledge: Extensive understanding of sales techniques and customer engagement.
- People Management Skills: Ability to motivate, lead and be part of a team
- Communication: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.
- Customer Orientation: Deep understanding of and responsiveness to customer needs and Technical proficiency in delivering customer-focused strategies
