BASIC FUNCTION
Provides professional nursing care to associates as individual situations occur, in accordance with Mexican law. Provides education to associates regarding health promotion and maintenance. Assists medical doctor with procedures as necessary. Relates effectively with other shift for continuity of care, maintains satisfactory relations with other departments, participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and participate upgrading policies and procedures.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Complies with the objectives of the medical service and applicable to his position.
2. Administers professional nursing care to associates as individual situations in accordance with Mexican Regulations. Keep a Log to all the activities.
3. Provides proper emergency respond to injuries which occurs at the facility.
4. Provides health education to associates through a periodical issue of health topics.
5. Administers medications prescribed by medical orders skillfully and correctly.
6. Keeps Supervisor informed of patients, needs, and problems on the medical service.
7. Participates in the new hire orientation, training, and management of personnel to provide emergency medical technician training, basic life support classes and optimal health care hints.
8. Maintains inventory of medications and supplies, sterilize equipment and supplies as necessary.
9. Offers care counseling, identifies problems and guides personnel to their solution.
10. Asses work environment to identify potential or actual health problems.
11. Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities chart by position).
Skills/Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Registered nurse with a current license to practice nursing in Mexico
EXPERIENCE:
2 years minimum occupational health experience
FORMATION:
Preference working Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based software applications.
