Opportunity
A food runner is responsible for delivering the food from the kitchen to a guest in a restaurant. Theyareresponsibleforensuringthateachguestreceivesthecorrectorder.Afewofthemain duties of a food runner are being the final check on quality before the food is delivered to a guest, matching the food ticket to the guest / table, and refilling guest's water, tea, coffee etc. Theyalsoneedtopossesstheknowledgetoansweranyfoodquestionsaguestmayhave.
SPECIFICRESPONSIBILITIES
- Haveastrongworkingknowledgeoftablenumbersandseatnumbersfortheentire restauran
- Deliverfoodordersfromthekitchentoguests’tablesrapidlyandaccuratelywithout confusion of what each guest ordered
- ActasaliaisonbetweenFrontoftheHouseand BackoftheHouse staff
- Beproficientin handlingplate,glassandsilverwareappropriately
- Beknowledgeableaboutservicestandardssuchasservefromtheleftandclearfromthe right
- Beabletoconfirmspecialinstructions,allergiesormodificationshavebeenexecuted, before the food is delivered to the table
- Assistthewaitstaffwithtablesettingbyplacingappropriatetableware,andmarkingforthe next course(e.g.b&b plates for butter)
- Ensurefoodisservedinaccordancewithsafetystandards(e.g.propertemperature)Hot food is served hot, Cold food should be served cold.
- Removedirtydishesandutensilsasneeded.Thefoodrunnermaypre-busorassistin bussing.
- Answerguests’questionsaboutingredientsandmenu items
- Properlyandquicklycommunicatetotheappropriateteammemberwhenaguesthas feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check)
- Maintainagoodknowledgeofthedetailsoftheoutlet,suchashoursofoperation,history, how to answer the phone etc.

The hourly range for this position is $10.40 - $15.60 plus tips/gratuity. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
Sign On Bonus payment structure is tiered, with payouts contingent on an associate's employment status and hours worked.
