Floral Assistant, The American Club

Opportunity
The Floral Assistant will assist increatingarrangements for events and floral installations for the hotel lobby, guest rooms, restaurants, spa and other public areas.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with creating visually appealing arrangements for resort’s daily requirements.
Prepare guest or department requests and orders.
Assist with loading or unloading of flowers and props from vehicles.
Ensure that all floral arrangements are within the allocated budget and deadlines are met for both resort’s requirements and guest orders.
Billing / voucher to be done for all guest orders, events and charges to be posted to the appropriate guest or banquet folio.
Responsible for preparing floral containers, required props, floral foams and floral carts for storage, refrigeration and delivery.
Responsible for sorting, organizing, cleaning and restocking all supplies.
Responsible to water and maintain all in-house plants and floral decorations.
Maintain photos of all variety of floral arrangements done as a sample or catalogue for guests.
Participate in floral production projects on-site.
Partner with Meetings and Events team on guest requests.
Stay up to date and current in design trends, floral techniques, props and other products.
Any other duties and tasks in the area assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Skills/Requirements
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Some floral design experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.

The hourly range for this position is $16.00. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
