Opportunity
The Sr. Human Resources Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting Kohler Campus Operationsandunionandassociaterelations.Thispositionservesasastrategicadministrative partner to the HRBP and Union & Associate Relations leadership teams, managing complex grievance systems, maintaining critical labor relations documentation, and coordinating campus-wide employee engagement initiatives. The role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with union representatives, plant leadership, and cross-functional teams.
This position directly supports the Director of Union & Associate Relations and collaborates closely with HR Business Partners, Associate & Labor Relations partners, and operational leaders across multiple locations on the Kohler Campus, the United States and Canada. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to process improvement, strong technical proficiencywithHRISanddocumentmanagementsystems,andademonstratedcommitment to fostering positive employee relations in a unionized environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
- MaintaincomprehensiveGrievancelogandtrackingsystem,includingscanningand digitizing historical grievance documents to ensure complete record retention.
- MaintainMemorandumofUnderstanding(MOU)logandsystem,includingscanning historical MOUs and side agreements with ongoing management responsibility.
- MaintainDisciplinarylogswithaccuratetrackingofemployeerelationscasesacross campus locations.
- Drivecross-functionalprojectwithKohlerITCtodesignandimplementadisciplinarylog and tracking system integrated with existing grievance management platform.
- ManageandsupporttheEmployeeRelations/LaborRelations(ER/LR)andKohlerBusiness Association (KBA) Campus SharePoint sites, including site structure, permissions, and content organization.
- Uploaddocumentationintogrievancerepositoryandestablishconsistentfilenaming conventions to ensure efficient document retrieval.
- Trackcriticaldeadlinesforgrievanceresponses,arbitrationfilings,contractnegotiations, and other time-sensitive labor relations matters.
- Assist with Department of Labor (DOL) poster subscription management, tracking compliancerequirements,conductingsiteaudits,andcoordinatingwithFinancetoallocate costs to appropriate cost centers.
- ConductStay5,30,60,90&180daystayinterviewswithassociatesacrossKohler Campus; provide trend analysis to the HRBP Team.
- Handlethejobbiddingprocessinaccordancewith thestepsoutlinedinthecollective bargaining process.
- Processalldisciplinaryactionsonaweeklybasisinaccordancewithtermsandconditions of the collective bargaining agreement.
Reporting,Analytics&UnionRelationsSupport
- Trackgrievancetrendsacrosscampuslocations,analyzingpatternsbydepartment,shift, grievance type, and resolution outcomes to identify systemic issues.
- Trackdisciplinepatternsandprogressivedisciplinecompliancetoensureconsistent application of policies.
- Monitorandreportonabsenteeismtrendsbylocation,department,andemployeegroup.
- TrackFamilyMedicalLeave(FML)usagepatternsandcoordinatewithleaveadministration.
- Buildreportsanddashboardstrackingcontractviolations,arbitrationoutcomes,settlement trends, and labor relations metrics for leadership review.
- TrackUnionDuescards,filethemsystematically,andcoordinatewithGlobalShared Services(GSS)toupdateSAPwithappropriateeffectivedates(orenterdirectlyinto WorkDay when system transitions).
- Provideproceduralguidanceonunionprotocols,includingwhitecardproceduresforunion steward time in grievance meetings and representation rights.
- Coordinate communications with UAW leadership when new company processes, procedures,systems,programs,orpoliciesareannouncedorrolledouttoensureproper notification and transparency.
- Manage logistics for contract negotiation meetings and arbitration hearings, including scheduling,materialspreparation,conferenceroomsetup,andcoordinationwithexternal counsel.
- Assistwithcollectionandcompilationofdatafrombusinessdivisionsacrosscampusduring pre-negotiation preparation meetings.
EmployeeEngagement&CampusSupport
- Maintain HR bulletin and people boards across all campus locations and plant sites, ensuringcurrentpostingsofrequiredlaborlawnotices,companyannouncements,benefits information, and employee recognition.
- Leadcampus-wideManufacturingMonthactivitiesandotherstewardshipandengagement initiatives to ensure consistency across locations and reinforce One Team One Mission culture.
- ProvideoperationalsupporttoWorkplaceExcellence(WE)teamsacrosscampusasneeded, including meeting coordination, action item tracking, and communication support.
- LeadthestrategicexpansionoftheEnglishas aSecondLanguage(ESL)programtoinclude additional languages beyond Spanish, such as Hmong, to support the diverse workforce across Kohler Campus manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with plant leadership, HR Business Partners, and union representatives to designandexecuteengagementactivitiesthatstrengthenassociaterelationsandfoster inclusive workplace culture.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor'sdegreeinHumanResources,BusinessAdministration,LaborRelations,or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Minimum1+ofprogressiveHRexperience,withdemonstratedexposureto employee relations, labor relations, or union environments strongly preferred
- AdvancedproficiencywithMicrosoftOfficeSuite,particularlyExcelfordataanalysis, reporting, and dashboard creation
- ExperiencewithSharePointadministration,includingsitemanagement,documentlibraries, permissions, and workflow configuration
- Strongorganizationalskillswithprovenabilitytomanagemultiplecomplexprojects simultaneously and meet critical deadlines in fast-paced environment
- Exceptionalattentiontodetailandaccuracyinmaintainingsensitiveemployeerelations documentation and legal records
- Excellentwrittenandverbalcommunicationskills,withabilitytointeractprofessionally with all organizational levels, union representatives, and external parties

The hourly range for this position is $22.20 - $33.30. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
