Cook IV, Banquets

Opportunity:
As a Banquet Cook you are responsible for preparing food products that represent the standards for all events and banquets with quality, consistency, and surroundings in mind.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the ordering checklists are adhered to by all Cook I’s and II’s and up to date
- Assure that all staff are ordering finished pastry, fabricated meats, dry goods and produce on established ordering sheets according to pars
- Rotate all food stocks (i.e. first in, first out)
- Conduct monthly inventory taking
- Be able to work stations in more than one restaurant
- Assist in the training of Cook I’s and II’s
- Advanced meat, fish and poultry fabrication, advanced stocks, soups and sauce preparation
- Develop daily specials that contribute to the development of our food program and new menus
- Have an advance understanding of the development of checklists systems of managing production.
- Be able to develop them for problem solving when necessary.
This is a full-time position, working weekdays and weekends. Shifts will vary between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm.
Skills/Requirements
- Have a major culinary school degree or 2-year technical college degree and 2 years' experience.
- Completed supervisory training course
- Completed sanitation course
- Have an advanced knowledge of restaurant and banquet buffet service, ala carte service and plated banquet service

The hourly pay for this position is $25.00 hr. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
