Opportunity
Position Purpose / Summary
The Maintenance Superintendent leads and manages site maintenance operations
with a strong focus on preventive maintenance planning, asset reliability, cost
control, and safe execution. This role provides strong leadership to a
multi-shift maintenance organization and ensures safe, efficient, and compliant
operation of manufacturing equipment and site utilities—especially systems
involving electrical, hydraulic, and gas-fired equipment. Application of lean principles for problem
solving will be important for this position. Associate work load, labor
planning and capacity analysis will be key to managing the department right
sizing based on production volumes and other key performance indicators.
This position serves as the site leader for Operations Link (Kohler system) for
advanced data collection, automation, and reporting, and is the site
implementation lead for SAP Maintenance and Work Order (SAP PM), including the
phase-out of the MP2 maintenance work order system. The role collaborates with
USA-based suppliers, corporate leadership, and global support teams including
Kohler ITC (India).
Reporting Relationship
Reports to: Technical Manager of Maintenance, Facilities, Engineering and
Tooling
Supervises: Maintenance Supervisors, Planners, Multi-shift Technicians
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership, Training & LOTO
• Safety as top priority
• Assure safety training and identify training opportunities
• Implement and audit Lockout/Tag-out procedures
• Maintain equipment-specific LOTO documentation
• Participate in investigations and hazards analysis
Preventive Maintenance & Reliability
• Develop preventive maintenance programs
• Lead planning and scheduling
• Analyze downtime and drive corrective actions
OEM Interaction
• Interface with machine manufacturers
• Develop BOMs and PM procedures
• Translate OEM guidance into SAP structures
Technical Leadership
• Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and gas systems support
• Troubleshooting and commissioning
• Oversee plant documentation as related to facilities,
utilities, electrical plan, gas plan, pneumatic system and related survey
information with CAD.
SAP PM & MP2 Transition
• Site lead for SAP PM implementation
• Phase out MP2 system
• Data migration and user training
Operations Link Leadership
• Site digital leader
• Data-driven maintenance decisions
Risk-Based Prioritization
• Evaluation of production demand
• Risk analysis for maintenance planning
Cost Control & Inventory
• Budget responsibility
• Spare parts optimization
• Responsible
for associates managing maintenance stores and related inventory
Capital Planning & Asset Management
• Replacement planning
• New equipment planning
• End-of-life asset management
EHS & External Audit Support
• Support audits
• Corrective and preventive actions
Sustainability (Preferred)

Skills/Requirements
Required
Qualifications
• 7+ years maintenance leadership
• Expertise in electrical, hydraulic, gas equipment
• Preventive maintenance systems
• SAP PM proficiency
• Strong LOTO knowledge
• Bilingual: Spanish (primary) / English
• Interface with US suppliers and Kohler ITC
