Senior Sourcing Specialist – Facilities, Mexico

Opportunity
The Senior Sourcing Specialist- Facilities is responsible for the strategic procurement of Facilities goods and services across Kohler’s sites in Mexico. The role supports day-to-day purchasing activities while ensuring compliance with internal processes, contracts, and global procurement policies. The position holder will work closely with Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering, HR and EHS teams to ensure continuity of service, cost control, and supplier performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Procurement Strategy & Execution:
Define procurement strategy for Facilities in Mexico, working collaboratively with team members from other regions
Owning the strategy and procurement of high spend and operation critical Facilities sub-categories such as Waste Management, Cleaning, Water Treatment, Grounds Maintenance, Security, Cafeteria and Shuttle Services
Devising the strategy for other lower spend/tactical, non-operation critical Facilities sub-categories. Ensuring site stakeholders execute the plan and own the procurement of such sub-categories
Support other Facilities projects outside of Mexico, as required
Support Capital Equipment projects, as required
Delivery against departmental KPI’s, including cost savings and avoidance, DPO and supplier consolidation Supplier & Contract Compliance:
Ensure the sites have reputable suppliers in place through a thorough supplier selection process and conducting appropriate due diligence
Ensuring the suppliers appointed deliver overall value and consistent high levels of performance
Ensure robust contracts are in place that protect the business from a commercial and legal perspective. Instil robust performance measures such as KPIs and SLAs Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Works alongside site leaders and stakeholder in identifying procurement improvement opportunities, including stakeholder training
Stays at the forefront of leading trends in Facilities industry, particularly those that bring cost saving and/or sustainability benefit

KEY SKILLS
First class communication skills, written and oral in Spanish and English
Demonstrable knowledge of Mexican commercial law
Good negotiation skills. Able to devise negotiation strategies depending on circumstances and commercial levers
Solid project management skills. Able to coordinate stakeholders and work against project plan
Strong IT skills, including ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Power BI tools. Able to fully utilize Kohler’s e-Procurement system

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
3+ years’ experience within Indirect Sourcing, including category management responsibility (preferably Facilities Management).
Degree (or equivalent) desirable in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business or Engineering.
Written and spoken Spanish and English to a high level.
Able to work within hybrid working environment (2-3 days from office, remainder from home).
Travel up to 10% to other Kohler entities across the Mexico/region.
