Landscape Horticulture Technician, Kohler Hospitality

Opportunity
The
horticulture technician is responsible for the care, enhancement, and overall
presentation of assigned landscape areas within Kohler Company properties. This
role involves skilled hands-on horticultural work, including planting, pruning,
soil and plant health management, and the design and installation of seasonal
displays while upholding high landscape standards, supporting an exceptional
guest experience, and contributing to the aesthetic and environmental goals of
Kohler Company.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily horticultural maintenance such as planting, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, irrigation management, pest monitoring, and seasonal change-outs to maintain high-quality garden and landscape areas.
- Design and implement seasonal floral and plant displays that complement Kohler’s landscape design style and enhance the guest experience.
- Provide guidance and daily direction to seasonal staff to ensure efficient work, safe practices, and positive interactions with guests.
- Perform additional
duties as assigned to support year-round landscape operations
This is a full-time opportunity working both weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary between 6:30 am and 3:30 pm.
Skills/Requirements
- At least one year of experience in horticultural/landscape maintenance or plant care
- Valid Wisconsin driver’s license
- Ability to obtain WDATCP Category 3.0 Pesticide Applicator’s certification within six months
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 40 lbs
- Work a flexible schedule, including periodic weekends and winter snow-removal availability
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, or related field preferred
- Experience with greenhouse production operations preferred
- Experience designing and maintaining seasonal floral or display gardens preferred

The hourly range for this position is $16.20 - $24.30. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including candidate's education and work location.
