How You’ll Make an Impact
- Manage and mentor a team of quality engineers, driving performance evaluations and supporting career growth
- Lead the development and execution of quality engineering processes and testing strategies to meet project specifications
- Assess resource needs and perform capacity planning to ensure deadlines are consistently met
- Develop, enforce and monitor quality standards and procedures to ensure optimal product outcomes
- Estimate, prioritize and coordinate comprehensive testing activities and create detailed test plans
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Spectrum to facilitate solutions and continuously improve processes
- Implement metrics and reporting tools to track quality performance and drive improvement initiatives
- Support internal and external customer issues, driving resolution and escalating risks when necessary
- Function as backup for the Quality Engineering Senior Manager when required
What You’ll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering software testing
- 3+ years in a managerial role
Preferred Qualifications
- Capacity management planning across multiple business functions.
- Experience in software quality engineering within a large-scale technology environment
- Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvements and process enhancements in previous roles
Skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with employees, customers and suppliers
- Proven experience in quality engineering management or a relevant role
- Thorough understanding of quality engineering methodologies and standards
- Skilled in managing complex projects in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
- Experience with manual and automation testing tools for both UI and API
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide clear recommendations
- Proficient in conflict resolution and resource workload assessment for team optimization
- Outstanding verbal and written communication with a clear and professional approach
- Strong organizational and project management skills, managing multiple priorities
- Ability to foster collaboration within and across teams
- Experience leading and coordinating onshore and offshore staff to achieve team goals
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Commitment to adhering to all security measures
- Ability to identify and implement best practices and modern technologies to enhance efficiency
