General Supervisor

Opportunity
BASIC FUNCTION
Under the supervision of the Operation manager,
is responsible for managing the casting, Mold & Cases ,in order to achieve
efficiency in productivity, ware yields, schedule adherence, and personnel
safety.
SPECIFIC
RESPONSIBILITIES
Control re-spray defects based on one-fire inspection and charged to the casting area.
Control the cull defects charged to the casting area.
Achieve the objectives for productivity in the Casting, Molds department.
Maintain inventory losses at a minimum level in the Casting and Molds.
Maintain assigned production areas in a safe manner to assure minimization of employee accidents, and in compliance with legal requirements.
Schedule mold making to assure the adequate supply of molds to meet production schedules.
Provide training to foreman in order to develop their supervisory skills.
Assist in development and training programs for all personnel in the area of responsibility to comply with Mexican government requirements.
Responsible for review of personnel in his area of responsibility, and making recommendations regarding merit increase, promotions and disciplinary action.
Works with another members of supervision to identify and develop local sources of raw materials and supplies to increase local content.
Responsible to ensure that all information regarding control production, defects and inventories are maintained.
Ensure that all the new systems that was implemented in their areas are under control.
Establish good communication systems to ensure that all the personnel under his responsibility are informed.
Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position (See Responsibilities chart by position).
Skills/Requirements
EDUCATION:
Preference Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering.
EXPERIENCE:
Preference minimum of 3
years’ experience in a manufacturing operation.
FORMATION:
Preference working Knowledge of Microsoft
Windows based software applications. Bilingual preferred.
