POSITION SUMMARY: Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and maintain plant equipment.
POSITION DUTIES:
- Safely perform routine preventative maintenance on facility equipment using basic hand tools.
- Effectively troubleshoot equipment and minimize production downtime events.
- Assist with various work orders throughout facility.
- Input tasks completed in SAP and other required computer programs.
- Communicate with managers and employees within maintenance and in other departments throughout workday and respond appropriately to maintenance requests.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to varying environmental conditions, both indoor and outdoor, temperatures ranging from warm to very cold, heavy noise, humidity, moving vehicles, slippery floors. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as standing, walking, kneeling, climbing and bending for majority of shift. Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE for tasks assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum one year experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing facility preferred (food and beverage industry experience a plus). Minimum one year experience with one or more technical skillsets preferred: Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC and/or HVAC. Minimum one year experience with a variety of equipment preferred (including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment). Must have basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals). Complete and maintain required safety trainings (such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Powered Industrial Truck certifications, Hazcom.)
