A Foot in the Door

Mission Wisconsin candidate Nathen Emmons recently landed a job with Partner Medalcraft Mint

In what has to be Mission Wisconsin’s fastest job placement to date, Marine Corps veteran Nathen Emmons recently landed a project manager position with one of our Partners, Medalcraft Mint. Emmons and his wife are both originally from the Milwaukee area, and through the help of our incredible staff, this family is now happily back in the Great State of Wisconsin.

We asked Emmons about his experience, and he graciously shared his story and insight with us.

How was Mission Wisconsin’s assistance valuable to your family?

I signed up, was offered assistance and resources, and told that my resume would be sent out to Mission Wisconsin partners. A few days later I had several interviews! I am truly humbled and grateful!

What advice would you offer others as they move from military to civilian life?

If you are about to get out, you have to look for Mission Wisconsin or other organizations like it that can specifically assist you in the state you are deciding to move to.

Why would you recommend working with Steve and Mission Wisconsin?

What Steve and his team have done in such a short amount of time is nothing less than remarkable. I wholeheartedly believe that Mission Wisconsin got me the “foot in the door” that I needed through its reputation and access. It’s as if Mission Wisconsin vouched for me, which is something that you just don’t get from any job posting sites. This is a huge game changer and advantage for veterans. I will forever be grateful to Mission Wisconsin. Thank you!
