You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the front facing Food and Beverage operation, through a passion for excellence in Food and Beverage operations and service levels and by displaying proven leadership experience.Reporting to the General Manager, Old Course Hotel -this is an exceptional opportunity to lead the food and beverage management team in producing a positive operating income whilst delivering outstanding customer service levels.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead the Resort’s food and beverage operation including restaurants, bars, conference and events, special events and in-room dining, ensuring the seamless delivery of 5 red star service. Become part of the Resort Leadership team to ensure food and beverage is represented and contributes to the Resort Strategic Plan. Co-ordinate the selection, training, development and evaluation of Associates and Managers in the Food and Beverage brigade through effective management. Establish clear performance expectations, motivate, provide regular feedback and appraisals against performance expectations.Reward and recognise high performers.Be visible in the Resort, build rapport, recognise and maintain relationships with regular guests and cultivate new relationships with new. Foster effective communication across all operational and support departments, attending regular operational and leadership meetings to ensure Resort wide coordination for Food and Beverage. Lead the Food and Beverage teams in the development of strategic, financial, capital plans and control of salaries and wages through effective labour standard setting and controls. Be revenue generating focused through the development of upselling initiatives and effective diary management. Contribute to the sales and marketing plans for all Food and Beverage outlets to provide the opportunity for inspirational content, and to ensure marketing spend is focused appropriately. Directly manage the Food and Beverage Manager and overall responsibility for all outlet managers and Resort sommelier. Cover Duty Management shifts as requiredEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Extensive experience overseeing multiple outlets with front and back of houseresponsibility, ideally in a 5 star Resort setting. • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are essential. • Extensive wine and beverage knowledge. · Strong background in cost control, service excellence and otheroperating expense.The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa is an equal opportunity employer.
