The qualified candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or other EHS technical field of study.6 or more years of professional work experience in a heavy equipment manufacturing machining and assembly production environment.The ideal candidate will have:Knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.Ability to demonstrate relationship building skills and the ability to connect one on one with people.Proficient public speaking skills to successfully deliver safety training.8 10 years of professional experience in a heavy equipment manufacturing machining and assembly production environment. Implement and lead the plant environmental, health, safety and energy programs, procedures, and culture change to ensure complianceServe as the management representative for the plant environmental, health, safety and energy management systems and support the NAFTA Enterprise certification for OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001Lead and participate in the investigation of safety and environmental incidents, along with corrective action development, implementation and follow upCommunicate EHS&E metrics and maintain systems to track vital data for internal and external EHS&E reportingSubmit compliance reports to regulatory agenciesConduct safety and environmental audits, studies and investigations to ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety laws and regulations and management systemsDevelop and implement training programs to support the plant management systems and complianceParticipate as an auditor in the regional internal auditing programSupport Human Resources, Medical and Risk Management in handling workers compensation claimsRepresent the company and maintain good working relationships with government agencies, neighbors as well as the general publicBudget and manage resources for EHS&E functionIntegrate the consideration of EHS&E in changes to the plantActively participate in regional EHS&E meetings and initiativesResponsibilities are within the Environmental, Health and Safety job family and work cross functionally with other departments in other CNH North America plantsCollaborate with nursing team to provide quality care to all our employees
