r Analyst , Demand Planning & Inventory Planning Work Mode Remote LocationRemote at Kohler, WI Opportunity The rapid growth of our online business, the increasing complexity of direct-to-consumer (DTC) product mix, and the customers desire for quick fulfillment have created an urgent need for dedicated focus to ensure continued success in meeting customer needs and capturing growth. Adding dedicated team members to manage the supply chain and inventory responsibilities of Kohler's DTC business will ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. These responsibilities cannot be maintained through side efforts but must become fully owned by these new positions to prioritize DTC efforts and goals. We are seeking a skilled Sr Analyst, Demand Planning and Inventory Planning to join our team, focused on Direct to Customer (DTC) operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing demand patterns, forecasting sales, and optimizing inventory levels to ensure seamless product availability for our DTC customers. This role requires a data-driven approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Specific Responsibilities Demand Planning Conduct demand forecasting and analysis to predict customer demand for products sold via the Direct to Customer (DTC) channel. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to gather relevant data and insights for accurate demand planning. Develop and maintain sales forecasts, taking into account seasonality, promotions, and market trends. Analyze historical sales data and customer behavior to identify patterns and trends that inform demand and inventory planning decisions. Work closely with the Ecommerce/DTC team to align demand planning with online sales strategies and promotional activities. Continuously evaluate and improve demand forecasting models and inventory planning processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Generate and analyze reports related to demand and inventory, providing insights to stakeholders for decision-making. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and Finance processes. Actively participate in cross-functional meetings and initiatives to optimize end-to-end supply chain operations. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in demand and inventory planning for Ecommerce and DTC businesses. Improve the existing process by identifying the appropriate sales district for DTC and ensure demand and supply data flow through the appropriate channels in system and analytical works. Inventory Planning Develop an inventory strategy that balances growth goals for the DTC business while maintaining expectations for traditional channels. Forecast inventory by analyzing sales forecast and backlog, monitor inventory levels, and coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure the accurate inventory at shipping location, optimal inventory turns, timely order fulfillment, reduced shipping lead times, and improved product availability. Set up and maintain the key parameters to guide and track inventory management and performance, including safety stock, lead time, MOQ, etc. Identify potential inventory risks and opportunities and propose actionable strategies to mitigate stockouts and overstock situations by collaborating with sales, category, and supply planning teams. Generate and maintain regular inventory reports, KPIs, and dashboards to provide insights to stakeholders. Skills/Requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field OR related experience. Proven experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain analytics, preferably in an Ecommerce or DTC environment. Proficient in using demand planning software (SAP IBP preferred) Proficient with analytical tools to generate accurate forecasts and reports (Power BI preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet applications. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of Ecommerce platforms and online retail dynamics is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. Understanding of supply chain principles and their impact on Ecommerce/DTC operations. Location Remote/Hybrid Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, demand planning, or related roles. Proficiency in advanced data analysis techniques and/or statistical modeling. Expertise in data manipulation and visualization using tools. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives is highly advantageous.#LI-SM1 #LI-RemoteApplicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future. The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $85,650. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
